Anybody work in that area?
Need a bit of advice for my nephew. Looking to get into it - wanting to know where to start.
What best avenue to go down? Professional qualification? Self teach?
Remember a few coders/web guys on here so any help and general cunting of my family bloodline would be much appreciated as always...

We do a lot of work with them and the new bird there used to work at my place.

I've been a web developer for a fair while (I am on old git) and it all depends what he fancies doing. Web development covers a lot from the database/unstructured back end, the server applications (the middle bit) and the page design/interface.
It all depends what he fancies doing. I have always got more kicks out of back/middle end design and coding but that's not everyone's cup of tea,
Has he done any coding before? At the very least you need to be pretty comfortable with html and css (there are, as you'd expect, loads of online learning sites).
